Learn End of Life Holistic Care.

End of Life Holistic Care requires dedication, vigil and advocacy and that, individuals and those closest to them, are able to achieve their goals in regards to where, how and who is involved in their last days or hours, in a caring environment.

This one day training supports the NHS Ambitions learning objectives, responds to palliative care ideals, and includes complementary therapy as a gentle way of supporting pain and anxiety, alongside and complementary to medical and nursing requirements.

As a Nurse and Trainer of 32 years, and as a Healer and Soul Midwife, it is my passion to support staff and others in ensuring a dying person, and their family and significant others, get the care and dignity they deserve as they near or reach the end of this life.

The day will include:

  • Integrating psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects of end of life care

  • Introduces a support system to clients and staff, in helping them and their significant others to cope

  • Enhance the quality of life and positively influence the experience of death

  • The physical environment – how this can have a direct impact on the experience at the end of life

  • Dignity in dying – understanding the dying process

  • Impact of loss and grief

  • How to communicate around death and dying

  • What do we mean by vigil, and how we can encompass this into the care setting

  • How complementary therapies can have a role in supporting/relieving pain and symptoms and give psychological, emotional and spiritual comfort. (Gentle touch, sound, healing)

  • A look at culture/religion and death

  • Peer support

Support can be offered in various packages to an Individual or Organisation, which could give one to one support and assistance, or the Soul Clinic implementing end of life holistic care for your Organisation. Package costs can be discussed as appropriate.
